Alright so A quick recap

of how much Roland has mastered the art of not talking about it

among the 5 including Lofty by the time of the ghost arc:

Evan and Tani knows that he’s from another world. Only Tani knows why he ended up there.

Lofty and Leander knows about his physical corruption, only Lofty knows how it happened.

Batu’s… I’ll just keep it under read more pft

Batu already knows about Roland’s past from Tani; she blurted it out after the argument during the drafting of the Treaty. That’s why Roland heard “It’s nothin’” afterwards, Tani was going to get Batu to apologise but Batu also thinks that Roland may need his sleep; so he didn’t get the chance to until they got on the boat.

I think the biggest origin of my block is that I don’t exactly know how to approach the situation after that turning point. I’ve done at least some research on the topics but at the same time I’m still pretty worried I’m going to get something wrong?

very slight spoilers for to-be posted chapters because I need to….. yell at myself

me: ok so Roland nearly dies and the others probably are upset 

me: oh yeah Evan got reminded of Aranella during ghost section last chapter/day so he’d be really upset he almost lost a parent figure again

me: and Roland already got guilt-tripped heavily during ghost section on abandoning his family and confusion on whether he thinks Evan as a son so he’s both feeling that and guilt at almost leaving Evan ‘alone’, so to speak
