technically speaking, the first ghibli movie that I distinctly remember watching in my childhood was tales of earthsea, and even then I probably watched until near the ¾ mark… welp?

Yall probably have an shard of an idea what this guy’s theme is but I’m gonna leave the punchline there so yall don’t go cracking up too early

so guess what I had a dream related to Hummel again but this time in the form of those character review videos. Featuring:

-Him, at one point, saying “(Be aware of) pitfalls” and for some reason cutting to a screenshot of Yusuke from P5 also saying “Pitfalls.” I have no idea whether he indeed says pitfalls in the game proper but this was probably half a minute of either of them or both of them saying the word. and the video creator voice cracking also saying the word.

-Him being very buggy in the game, with the ability to bug his way up cliffs like. go up against a wall and use a move? ZOOOM he’s now 50m up the wall onto a ledge or smth

-the game seemed to feature the ability to drop down from heights(really high ones) to get the jump on enemies and whoever was doing the video combined the above AND this to end up with a clip where Hummel jumped down an insanely high cliff, did two backflips(not a move) and then attacked the enemy

– Fire Emblem since it’s the more recent one I’ve been doing stuff for aka FeH also I’ll only talk about Shadows of Valentia here because I’ve only cleared that!

The first character(s) you loved:

– TECHNICALLY… it was Adol because there was this crossover with another series Falcom has and he was the only one I cleared story for. My opinion was probably smth like “Cool guy, weird name though”. And then Hummel came along and hearteyes motherfucker!!! I love him!! He’s so weird but he’s adorable af 

– Revali… He’s so snobby but he has such a good fuckin’ reason to be that proud go Revs because I’ll be supporting you all the way lmao(also same voice actor as Hummel in the english dub NICE) also he was the pilot for my favourite Divine Beast so that was a bonus

– Lukas! Another person I’d hope to be like because he’s nice to everyone despite being very dead inside Also his JP voice is so good… 

The character(s) you never expected to love so much:

– The entire Seiren Island castaway crew!! Falcom loves doing interactions for each NPC and with a limited set of people on the island, they become really really memorable! I mean some of them aren’t too likable personality-wise but they stand out so well!

– I’d say Mipha! At first she only hit me as the resident unrequited love girl, but once the Champion’s Ballad came along and I had to do her champion quests…. i understood why the weapon description for Lightscale said so! She’s a fucking badass! She’s a god DAMN badass my girl and it juxtaposes so well with her demeanor

– Also Lukas! because I read the wiki before the game came out and I saw he kinda drops out of focus after Act 1… so I thought I’d find some other bigger fave but no! Lukas has still been my longstanding fave even now

The character(s) you relate to most:

– Laxia! Same about feeling too awkward to apologise until like… weeks later. Also her knowledge on dinosaurs is fuckin’ good and while my general knowledge isn’t… as spectacular as hers I’d love to be able to name things on first sight like her AND fight so gracefully like her one day

– A JOKE but Ganon because me too I’d wreck shit if someone keeps interrupting my progress otherwise the Zora who gives you the quest to take a picture of the Lynel on Ploymus haha

– Genny… If I remember correctly she likes to come up with stories and same I’m still developing 2 stories over here one is muffin’s detective AU and the other is the one I’ve been coming up with since like 3 years ago I still have a bit of a post for it too

The character(s) you’d slap:

– Sir Carlan. Motherfucker get your shit together I don’t care if you are a noble. You needed to be slapped even though you kinda make up for it later…

– JK but the Guardians just to feel what the metal feels like before I die a painful death. That aside Kempora(?) over in Rito Village because 1. My slaps probably won’t hurt him he has so much feather… it’d cushion all the hits and 2. I’d treat that as a chance to feel the feathers

– Mm you know what? Celica because she gave up so fucking easily Like come on man you have so many god DAMN spells just wreck Judah’s ass my dear

Three favourite characters (in order of preference):

– Hummel, Adol, really tough choice between Dana and Laxia so save me

– Revali, Mipha, Urbosa(she’s my mom’s fave btw!! She finds Urbosa to be a really cool/handsome person) Zelda and Daruk’s right behind them though

– Hey I’m predictable as fuck but Lukas, Python, Forsyth on Alm’s side; Mae, Masked Man, Jesse(purely for the “my body is your plaything, Mila” comment) on Celica’s side

Character(s) you liked at first but don’t anymore:

hey help me the fandoms i choose have so many likeable people 

– MMMM I DON’T KNOW Io??? She has a cool design and in the JP version she shares a voice actress with Madoka from PMMM which is a bonus honestly but her constant mysteriousness kinda puts her off to me.

– Uh????? Save me I really don’t have one for either of the games I played for Zelda maybe Paya but just barely because come on my girl just say no if you don’t want to say where your birthmark is… It’s your privacy

– Delthea, she was kinda a genki girl which kinda stood out in Alm’s army but she got kinda annoying after a while

Character(s) you did not like at first but do now:

– Laxia! I’m pretty sure it was intended because the fact that she did get over her first meeting with Adol instantly made her a third fave and such. Also Dogi because I’ve been kinda meh about muscular people before YsVIII, I’m glad I played it because I can at least draw a bit of muscle now haha because Dogi with his walking (technically) shirtless scene kinda got me to get used to it

– As I might’ve mentioned, Mipha, once I got around her unrequited love bit and knew how utterly powerful she is

– Forsyth! He was kinda too eager to me at first but I got over it pretty quick. Also his supports with the rest of the RGB trio is great

Three(or more don’t mind me) otp’s:

– I… lowkey ship Adol and Hummel their interactions are so good and pure(Adol/Dogi is still a priority though since they’ve stuck together for really long)… also Laxia/Dana also because among the team I’d think they would share a lot about their hobbies and hair care

– It kinda surprises me too because how often I hang around the AO3 for the game but I don’t really otp people in BoTW! Maybe platonically but perhaps because of the setting I’ve never really considered OTPs.

– Clive/Mathilda the canon lovey dovey couple please stick together for the rest of your lives. Also rarepair Lukas/the Masked Man from Celica’s side because considering their personalities it’d be fun to watch
