Low-key hype? I don’t play the game, anyway(Part 1)

While the Lunar New Year Overwatch thing is still up I’ll just give a few more descriptions and whatnot.

Reinhardt and Roadhog’s LNY skins are shoutouts to ‘Journey to the West’, one of the four classics of Chinese literature. Reinhardt’s is a callout to 沙悟淨, Sha Wujie, a river daemon(?spirit?) often depicted with blue skin and a necklace of large round beads. Roadhog’s LNY skin is a callout to 豬八戒, Zhu Bajie, who is a pig daemon. So there’s the pig imagery.

Chang’e is the goddess who flew to the moon in Chinese myths, since she ate a immortality pill. Midautumn festival is partially dedicated to her.
