Pokemon GO? Although there is no pokemon in Hong Kong

I was thinking:
Is it possible to check where your target pokemon/pokestop is, then turn off your data whatever and walk there, then turn it back on?
I’ve heard a lot of people having trouble with data, so yeah. You still have to remember where your spot is, though.
