I had this really weird game idea
Where the main character’s family(except the main character duh) is killed by some random guyAnd when the main character finds the culprit some years later they find that the murderer is actually him a whole lot years older
The murderer explains that they are trapped in a time loop, and for some reason they’re dragged into the past at a specific age, and they have to kill their family in the past to uphold the time loop or else the entire universe collapses from the time paradox(it’s not specified but I’d say the time loops have been there for a while)
So the main character has to find a way to unloop the time loop without collapsing the universe, while looking for their past selves’ journals where they keep what they know(they’d be scattered around the world)
There are a couple of stuff I need to smooth out but it feels kinda fun to play if it was a game lmao
Tbh the journal collecting should be a mandatory game mechanic as you will have to find the previous incarnations’ journals to unlock new ways to try and unloop the timey wimey thing
And once you’re time-skipped into the past you’d have to leave them for the next you
Or else they’d have nothing except for your current journal, which would still work but misses out other important information that can be retrieved from previous you-s, so you’d have less options to choose from.
